Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to common questions about appointments, payments, hormone therapy, weight loss, and laboratory services. If you do not see your question here, please contact our office.

1. General / Payment

Our office visits are self-pay. However, you may use insurance for labs, imaging, medications, or other services billed separately. We can provide documentation (a superbill) for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement of office fees.

Yes. We accept credit/debit cards as well as HSA and FSA accounts for eligible services.

Insurance participation often limits visit length, treatment flexibility, and service availability. By remaining independent, we provide transparent pricing, longer appointments, and care decisions based on clinical judgment rather than insurance approval.

A superbill is an itemized document listing services, diagnosis codes, and procedure codes. Patients may submit this to their insurance company to request reimbursement.

2. Hormone Therapy

Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to those naturally produced by the body. They are designed to match the body’s natural hormone structure.

Options may include:
  • Transdermal creams or gels
  • Patches
  • Oral capsules or troches
  • Injections, Pellets, or Vaginal formulations

Modern HRT does not significantly raise breast cancer risk and in certain instances, may even lower it. As one of medicine's most extensively studied treatments, appropriately prescribed and monitored HRT is widely regarded as safe.

Age alone does not determine eligibility. Decisions are based on overall health, symptoms, personal risk factors, and wellness goals.

3. Medical Weight Loss

After evaluation: Semaglutide ($350/vial) or Tirzepatide ($499/vial). Each vial is dosed for one month, with longer use possible at lower doses, and includes follow-up support.

GLP-1s are a tool. Long-term success depends on the nutrition, muscle preservation, and metabolic habits developed during treatment.

Options include oral medications, nutrition-focused clinical plans, hormonal evaluation, and strength-preserving exercise programming.

4. Follow-up Support

Appointments include:
  • Individualized macronutrient diet plan
  • Supplement recommendations based on current labs
  • Strength building exercise plan and tracking sheets
  • Review progress to adjust or update medication dose and/or nutrition goals
